As a Mercator Fellow, Dr. Yoran Beldengrün analyses the potential of science diplomacy in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. He completed his PhD in the field of Nanomedicine at the IQAC-CSIC in Barcelona and holds a MSc in Biomedical Engineering and a BSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences, both from the ETH Zürich.Yoran is the founder of the Scientists Dating Forum, a grass-roots organization which aims at encourage scientists to engage at the interface between science and politics, society and economics. Moreover, he headed the organization of the March for Science Barcelona. During an internship at UNESCO, Yoran gained experience in science policy and capacity-building.
