His project explores national and international climate policy and environmental movements with respect to security.

Short biography

Turhan Ethemcan is an environmental social scientist with a background in environmental engineering and political ecology. Ethemcan holds a B.Sc. from Middle East Technical University. He received his M.A. degree from the Institute of Environmental Science and Technology (ICTA) at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (Spain). He completed his PhD at the same institute. Ethemcan was a recipient of the FI-DGR 2011 doctoral fellowship from Generalitat de Catalunya and is an alumnus of the Brown University International Advanced Research Institute (BIARI).
