As a Mercator Fellow, Tamara Krüger explores refugees’ gender-specific experiences of integration and focuses on context-specific challenges regarding aspects of social and political participation. She has been actively working and volunteering in the field of migration since she witnessed the “refugee crisis” in Athens in 2016 firsthand. Tamara gained professional experience at the Permanent Mission of Germany to the United Nations, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in Morocco, and at the NGO “Start with a Friend” in Berlin. Tamara completed her studies in International Business Management (BA) and Social Development Practice (MSc) in Berlin, Montreal, Athens and London.
