Short biography

Talitha Goldmann-Kefalas works as Project Coordinator in the Human Resources Development Department at FRÖBEL gGmbH, an innovative educational institution which has its head office in Berlin and centres throughout Germany, in Turkey and Australia. Talitha focuses on integrating refugees who are qualified teachers into the early education sector and creating job prospects by closing ‘gaps in the integration process’. After two traineeships working with street children in Recife, Brazil and Johannesburg, South Africa, she studied social work in Nuremberg and co-authored a book about street children in Europe. She is now finishing her masters degree in ‘Social Work as a Human Rights Profession (MRMA)’ with a focus on children’s rights. Earlier, she worked for several years as a kindergarten manager and a social worker concerned with child protection.
