Svetlana Kirova is part of a network of young Turkish and European leaders from all sectors who come together once a year to engage in intensive dialogue and to share views and ideas about topical social issues. The Turkey Europe Future Forum takes place alternately in Turkey and Germany, as well as in other European countries.
Svetlana Kirova is the Cultural Manager of the International Elias Canetti Society in Ruse, Bulgaria. In this position she is involved in cultural and educational projects that transcend borders, foster tolerance and the active involvment in society. She is also an expert at the Joint Technical Secretariat, Priority Area 3 “To Promote Culture and Tourism, People to People Contacts” of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region. Svetlana taught several undergraduate courses in the Department of European Studies at the University of Ruse. She completed a M.A. European International Politics at Maastricht University and wrote her thesis on the relations between the EU and Azerbaijan. During her Bachelor studies she also spent an exchange semester in Azerbaijan with Erasmus. Previously Svetlana worked as a Robert Schuman trainee at the Directorate General for External Policies in the European Parliament and as a coordinator of the International MitOst Festival in Ruse.
