Svetlana Kirova is part of a network of young Turkish and European leaders from all sectors who come together once a year to engage in intensive dialogue and to share views and ideas about topical social issues. The Turkey Europe Future Forum takes place alternately in Turkey and Germany, as well as in other European countries.
Svetlana Kirova is a project manager focusing on EU funding instruments, with a strong commitment to culture and sustainability. Most recently, she contributed to the Collective Foundation – a placemaking organisation and New European Bauhaus Prize laureate in 2023 and 2024. Her work has focused on urban civic education, the revitalisation of neglected public spaces, and the role of art in urban transformation. Earlier in her career, she was a Robert Schuman trainee at the European Parliament, coordinated the International MitOst Festival, and led the cultural programme of the Elias Canetti Society (2014–2017). As an expert for the EU Danube Strategy, she gained valuable experience in transnational cooperation. She studied European Studies in Ruse and European Foreign Policy in Maastricht, and completed additional training in project management, cultural management, and civic education.
