During her fellowship year, Svea Windwehr focuses on approaches to regulate online platforms, and is intrigued by the phenomenon of private actors taking on public tasks. Among other questions, she will focus on questions related to content moderation and is especially interested in the implications of actions by Internet companies for the protection of fundamental rights. She gained professional experiences with digital policy during her time at the European Commission and worked previously for a Berlin think tank and the Friedrich-Ebert-Foundation in Bangkok. Svea studied Political Science and Law in Maastricht and Berkeley and holds a master’s degree from the University of Oxford.
