The European Union’s climate action policies: carbon pricing, climate mitigation finance and green investments

Project description

The Mercator Fellowship on International Affairs annually sponsors 24 German-speaking young professionals and university graduates from all disciplines who are committed to improving the world of tomorrow. During the 13-month programme, Fellows work in two or three international organizations that are active worldwide – non-governmental or non-profit organizations, or business enterprises. The Fellows’ own practical questions serve as their project proposals and determine their workstations anywhere in the world.

Short biography

Sebastian Matthias Wörle studied Political Science and Public Administration, Economics and Political Economy at the University of Konstanz, Sciences Po Paris and Cornell University. During his studies he gained practical experiences at the United Nations Office for Partnerships in New York, the Group Government Relations and Public Policy (GPP) of Allianz as well as with the Boston Consulting Group and the World Economic Forum. During his fellowship year, Sebastian will focus on financial aspects of the European Union’s climate action policies.
