Max Schaub from Ganderkesee studied International Relations in Dresden, Peace and Conflict Studies in Oslo and African Studies in Oxford. After his studies he worked as a lecturer of the Robert Bosch Foundation and taught European and International Law at the Yerewan State University. During this time he mainly focused on migration and its regulation. As a Mercator Fellow, he explored to what extent the concept of a mobility partnership, which the EU developed, can help to reduce irregular migration in a constructive way. Max Schaub now writes his doctoral thesis at the European University Institute in Florence.
