Laura Timm studied law at the universities of Heidelberg and Cologne and completed a Master’s degree in Peace and Security Studies at the University of Hamburg. She gained professional experience with the German Institute of Global and Area Studies (GIGA) in Hamburg, with GIZ in Uganda and, as part of her legal trainee program, with UNHCR Germany, the European Commission and the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. During her fellowship, Laura will focus on the introduction of a quota system for refugees as part of the European Agenda on Migration.
