As a Mercator Fellow, Lara Louisa Siever works on human rights due diligence of corporations focusing on corporate responsibility towards land and environmental rights defenders. She gained professional experience in human rights protection at the German Embassy to Somalia, the German Parliament and a Senegalese human rights NGO. She specialized on business and human rights through her master thesis and as part of the consultancy twentyfifty. At Amnesty International she is coordinating the German work on human rights defenders in Chad. She studied International Politics and Human Rights Law (MA) as well as Social Science and Law in the European-African Program at Science Po Paris (BA).
