Turkey and the EU: Overcoming Common Challenges and Bilateral Tensions

Project description

Đuro Bokan is part of a network of young Turkish and European leaders from all sectors who come together once a year to engage in intensive dialogue and to share views and ideas about topical social issues. The Turkey Europe Future Forum takes place alternately in Turkey and Germany, as well as in other European countries.

Short biography

Đuro Bokan started working in the Ministry of Interior of Republic of Serbia in 2014 as a police officer on reducing crime. Since September 2017 he works in the Sector for International Cooperation, European Affairs and Planning in the Department for Strategic Management and Development of the Ministry of Interior as a Principal Officer for Strategic Analyses and Planning. Đuro graduated from the Academy of Criminalistics and Police Studies in 2014. Afterwards, he enrolled in a Master’s program in European Integration at Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade, which he finished in 2017. He also attended a number of additional courses in regards to human rights, EU law and integration process, fight against crime, etc. He finished the “Young Policy Advisors Course for Western Balkans” organized by OSCE/ODIHR in November 2018.
