Project description

Cem Özdemir organized a series of public talks on sustainable and green economy, hate crimes and Germany-Turkish relations.

Short biography

Cem Özdemir is the Federal Minister for Food and Agriculture in Germany. From 2004 to 2009, Özdemir was a Member of the European Parliament (The Greens / European Free Alliance). Later, from 2008 to 2019 he was the Federal Chairman of the Bündnis 90/Die Grünen party. Özdemir was elected to the German Parliament in 1994, becoming its first-ever member of Turkish descent. He is an educator by profession and completed his studies in social pedagogy at the Evangelical Technical College (Evangelische Fachhochschule für Sozialwesen) in Reutlingen, Germany.
