Anja Hanisch

Anja Hanisch from Berlin, born 1983, graduated, inter alia, in Modern and Contemporary History, having studied in Bamberg, Germany, and the USA. Her dissertation on the “Conference on Security and Co-operation in Europe” was awarded with the Leibniz Association’s Young Scientists Award. Following her Ph.D., she completed the Federal Foreign Office’s summer school “International Futures” and worked for the Center for International Peace Operations in Berlin as well as for the Office of the United Nations at Geneva. During her fellowship year, she works on different international approaches to prevent the violent escalation of conflicts about land and natural resources such as water or minerals.
