Aksel Şahinöz is an expert for EU Affairs at the Ministry for European Union Affairs of the Republic of Turkey. In the Ministry, he worked under the Directorate of Research and Documentation where he prepared analyses, reports and notes about EU and Turkey-EU relations. Since June 2017, he started working under the Directorate of Civil Society, Communication and Culture, contributing to the implementation of the Turkey’s EU communication strategy. He studied International Relations at the Bilkent University in Ankara and completed his MA in European Studies at the Robert Schuman University in Strasbourg and Sciences Po Aix in Aix-en-Provence.
