Stiftung Mercator initiated the Mercator Center Berlin (ProjektZentrum Berlin) in 2011. The special feature of the concept: from the historic building on Hackescher Markt, Stiftung Mercator’s Berlin team is not only responsible for political communication and implements innovative event formats – the center also offers space for numerous civil society organizations and project partners, who can rent offices here and use the modern event rooms for their events.
Since then, the PZB has established itself as a place for exchange, encounters and inspiration between civil society, politics, media and business in the capital. The ProjektZentrum Berlin thus forms a central node in the network of European foundations and other organizations working for the common good.
Working together in one place creates valuable synergies, cooperation and new projects.
