Samuele C.A Abrami is a PhD candidate in Institutions and Politics at the Catholic University of Sacred Heart in Milan, where he is also subject expert in the courses of Geopolitics and History and Institutions of Asia. He is research assistant at the International Center for Contemporary Turkish Studies, a scientific platform aimed at bringing together experts and stakeholders from various fields with interests related to Turkey. Samuele is also director for the MENA section at IlGeopolitico online journal and collaborates with Ce.St.In.Geo. in projects like “Water and Food Security”. His academic focus are mainly centered on Middle East modern history and foreign policy analysis. Samuele is now visiting researcher at the Sabancı University of Istanbul, where he is working on his project about the link between internal and external dimensions in Turkish Foreign Policy as well as on Turkey’s relations with the EU, Balkans and Wider Mediterranean. During his studies he took part to a volunteering project in Turkey and he served as an intern at the Italian Consulate in Istanbul.
