Short biography

Philipp Hirsch studied political science and international relations at the University of Konstanz, the University of Cambridge and Sciences Po in Paris. He gained his first professional experience working as an aide for a member of the German Bundestag. He also worked in the office for Press and Public Diplomacy at the German Embassy in Washington, DC and at the Moroccan branch of the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung. As a Mercator Fellow, he will look at programmes for preventing radicalization and facilitating de-radicalization in the Mediterranean – in both EU and MENA countries.
