Her research focuses on offering comparable and comprehensive solutions to the problems of implementing the climate change adaptation response in (mega)cities, especially in Istanbul.
Kerstin Krellenberg is an environmental scientist. Since 2007 she has worked at the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research – UFZ in Leipzig (Germany), where she is involved in research on megacities, urban risks and vulnerabilities, as well as urban climate change response strategies. She focuses on how to adapt cities to climate change. Her research project entitled ‘A general framework for elaborating and implementing climate change adaptation response in (mega)cities’ is closely related to the theme of climate change.
