As a Mercator Fellow, Katharina Schwerdt is dedicated to the topic of effectively reducing economic and social inequalities (SDG 10). Previously, she worked as a Senior Consultant at PD – Consultants for the Public Sector in Germany and Cyprus, gained international work experience with GIZ in Eschborn, a social initiative in Bogotá and during her voluntary service in Brest, Belarus. Furthermore, she is a moderator and facilitator for workshops and conferences and an advocate for equal opportunities. She completed her bachelor’s degree in political and communication sciences at TU Dresden and UNAL in Bogotá and holds a master’s degree in nonprofit management from HS Osnabrück.
