Julia Reischle is a desk officer for Turkey at the German Federal Foreign Office. Before joining the diplomatic service in 2022, she worked at the European Council on Foreign Relations in London and completed a traineeship in the civil society section at the EU Delegation in Ankara. She has been interested in Turkey ever since living in Istanbul with her family as a child. She is a graduate of the College of Europe in Bruges and holds a Franco-German double degree from Sciences Po Lille and the University of Münster.
