Project description

Julia Krittian is part of a network of young Turkish and European leaders from all sectors who come together once a year to engage in intensive dialogue and to share views and ideas about topical social issues. The Turkey Europe Future Forum takes place alternately in Turkey and Germany, as well as in other European countries.

Short biography

Julia Krittian is correspondent for ARD Television in Berlin. She is covering almost all aspects of national politics in Germany. Her main fields of interest are foreign politics and security issues. In the last years she had the chance to report from various areas – including Maghreb, Afghanistan, Turkey, Syria, Northern Cyprus and Great Britain. In 2006 Julia joined the International Journalist Program Johannes-Rau-Fellowship (JIP) for a two month internship with NTV Türk. She travelled to south-east Anatolia for a 30 minute report on womens’ rights for NTV Türk. She repeated the IJP-experience in 2012 at BBC Westminster. Julia studied Journalism and Political Sciences in Leipzig and Palermo. Her journalistic career started with a trainee program at WDR.
