As a Mercator fellow, Julia Gubler is working on sustainable trade and environmental justice, especially in relation to the rights of Indigenous Peoples. Her project aims to identify ways in which environmental damage and human rights violations can be prevented by strengthening the rights of Indigenous Peoples in the context of trade relations. Julia completed her Master’s in International Governance and Diplomacy with a focus on climate and environmental policy at Sciences Po Paris. Previously, she gained experience at the Mission of Switzerland to the EU in Brussels and as a research assistant at the University of Geneva.
