Project description

Hannes Rathke is part of a network of young Turkish and European leaders from all sectors who come together once a year to engage in intensive dialogue and to share views and ideas about topical social issues. The Turkey Europe Future Forum takes place alternately in Turkey and Germany, as well as in other European countries.

Short biography

Hannes Rathke works as a consultant for the German Bundestag, focusing on European law, especially constitutional law. In his current position he provides parliamentary groups and members of parliament with legal analysis and expert opinions regarding European affairs Mr Rathke has also worked as a research assistant at the chair for public and tax law at the Helmut Schmidt University/University of the Federal Armed Forces Hamburg. He studied law, with a focus on European law and international public law, in Münster and Budapest. After his first state examination, he completed his practical legal training at the Higher Regional Court of Düsseldorf. Mr Rathke also holds a masters degree in comparative law and governance and is a doctoral candidate at the Universität Heidelberg.
