Hannes Einsporn studied political science at the Freie Universität Berlin and the University of California, Davis. He then completed a masters degree in refugee and forced migration studies at the University of Oxford. Hannes gained professional experience at the Migration Policy Institute in Washington, DC, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Geneva and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in Amman. As a Mercator Fellow, he will focus on the conditions for the sustainable return and reintegration of refugees and internally displaced persons.
