Migrants seeking refuge – protection gaps in international refugee law

Short biography

Friederike Reinhold studied Economics and Political Science at Münster University and International Relations and Political Theory at Humboldt University Berlin and at the New School for Social Research in New York. She gained first professional experience working for the Federal Foreign Office, the Berlin Social Science Centre and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). More recently, she worked as short-term consultant for GIZ in Kabul, Afghanistan. As Mercator Fellow, she examines gaps in international refugee law and practices of protection.
