Short biography

Elif Şeyda Uyar works as a policy advisor at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. She is an expert on issues related to International Law, Migration and Turkish Foreign Politics, with a special focus on Turkish-German relations. Previously she has been working in a local NGO in Germany that supported Syrian refugees. During her law studies, she participated at a Human Rights Clinic, completed a traineeship at the Maastricht Centre for European Law, and undertook an internship at an international law and human rights office. She has obtained a LL.B. in European Law and a LL.M. in International Laws from Maastricht University. As part of her studies she has been abroad at Seoul National University (Korea), ESADE Barcelona (Spain) and Koç University (Turkey).
