Çiğdem İpek is a desk officer at the Federal Chancellery’s Office of the Federal Government Commissioner for Migration, Refugees and Integration. Her focus lies on migration and integration in the context of education and research in Germany. Çiğdem holds a diploma degree in social sciences from Humboldt University Berlin and studied abroad at the New School for Social Research in New York City. Her previous employments include the Berlin Senate, Humboldt Universität Berlin, as well as NGOs and freelance projects. She has a special interest in Turkish migration to Germany. Being an alumna of young leadership programs Çiğdem shares a strong interest in interdisciplinary and international exchange.
