Project description

Cana Tülüş is part of a network of young Turkish and European leaders from all sectors who come together once a year to engage in intensive dialogue and to share views and ideas about topical social issues. The Turkey Europe Future Forum takes place alternately in Turkey and Germany, as well as in other European countries.

Short biography

Cana Tülüş Türk has been working at the Istanbul Policy Center as a Research and Administrative Affairs Senior Specialist since January 2012. She also teaches comparative politics, contemporary issues in the EU, and the current state of democracy at various universities. Her research focuses on political theory, comparative politics, Turkish politics, European integration, populism, and civil society in Turkey. She completed her PhD in Political Science at Istanbul Bilgi University in 2023. Cana is also an expert on projects funded by Think Civil, CEPS, and GMF Black Sea Trust. She has published multiple book chapters and regularly writes for Aposto News. She is a board member of the Turkey Europe Foundation, a member of Women in Foreign Policy, and the Scientific Committee of ALDA’s Summer School on Local Democracy (Venice, 2025). She is an alumna of the Turkey Europe Future Forum, Global Diplomacy Lab, United Europe, and Robert Bosch Foundation programs.
