Arif Koray Özbagci is co-founder and deputy chairman of the German-Turkish Young Diplomats Association. He has been involved in local politics for many years and was one of the youngest members of parliament in Berlin at the local level. He also initiated the cooperation between the Berlin district of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf and Istanbul Şisli. In addition, he is active in various foreign policy contexts. In this regard, he completed various seminars of the German Armed Forces and the Federal Academy for Security Policy. Furthermore, he is involved as a volunteer paramedic in a disaster control unit.
Koray Özbagci has studied political and public administration in Potsdam. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Social Sciences in a joint program between the Middle East Technical University Ankara and the Humboldt University of Berlin. Previously, he was a student assistant in the German Bundestag during the 18th legislative period and completed internships in various associations as well as in the headquarters of the German Foreign Office. After receiving his Bachelor’s degree, he worked as a political advisor. Koray holds a scholarship from the Heinrich Böll Foundation and is an alumnus of the Deutschlandstiftung Integration and the Fulbright Commission.
