Ardahan Özkan Gedikli is a doctoral researcher at the German Institute for Global and Area Studies (GIGA) and a research assistant at the Helmut Schmidt University in Hamburg. After completing his master’s degree at the University of Sussex, Ardahan worked as a public sector consultant in Ankara for several state institutions. Ardahan also held teaching and research assistant positions at both Koç University and Middle East Technical University as part of several projects. He is a scholarship holder of Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) and recently co-authored a book chapter titled “So Close Yet So Far: Turkey’s Relations with Germany in Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s Narratives (2003–2018)”. His research mainly focuses on Global Order, Foreign Aid, Political Economy, Discourse Analysis and Turkish Foreign Policy.
