Migration and Refugee Policies within the Framework of EU-Turkey Relations

Project description

Anne Koch is part of a network of young Turkish and European leaders from all sectors who come together once a year to engage in intensive dialogue and to share views and ideas about topical social issues. The Turkey Europe Future Forum takes place alternately in Turkey and Germany, as well as in other European countries.

Short biography

Anne Koch is an associate in the Global Issues Research Division of the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP), a foreign-policy think tank in Berlin that provides policy advice to members of the German Bundestag and the German government. Her current work is on EU asylum and migration policy, global migration governance and the role of development cooperation in protracted refugee situations. Prior to joining the SWP, she worked for the UNHCR, Capacity Building International, University College London and the European University Viadrina. Ms Koch holds an MA in human rights from University College London and a PhD in political science from the Berlin Graduate School for Transnational Studies.
