As a Mercator Fellow, Andrea Dertinger works in climate-friendly electricity sector transformations with a particular focus on strategies for meeting challenges from integrating renewable energies in different contexts. She gained professional experience in the field of energy and climate policy while working for the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW), the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and the International Carbon Action Partnership (ICAP). Andrea holds a BA in Philosophy & Economics from the University of Bayreuth, Germany, and a Master of Public policy (MPP) from the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin.
