The institutional design of our projects always takes our objectives into consideration. We aim with our partner organisations to achieve the greatest possible systemic impact. We want to build up new institutional expertise.
Partner organisations are characterized by their strong focus on content and their ability to work independently and flexibly. At the same time, they are able to draw on the experience of Stiftung Mercator and, possibly, of other partners. In this respect we also rely on collaborations, recruiting additional partners wherever possible to establish and support projects.
IMPORTANT INITIATOR FROM CIVIL SOCIETY
The Agora Digital Transformation aims to strengthen democracy and its ability to act in a digitized society. The think-and-do tank works in an impact-oriented and collaborative manner with innovators from society, administration, science, business and politics. Together, they develop concrete reform proposals for an update to our democracy.
A SUCCESSFUL TRANSPORT TRANSITION IS POSSIBLE – IF EVERYONE WORKS TOGETHER.
The 2050 targets laid down in the Paris Agreement are ambitious. If Germany wishes to achieve these targets, a radical transition will be required – above all in the transport sector, which has been neglected for too long. The Agora Verkehrswende initiative will set in motion the necessary discourse in society.
EXPANDING KNOWLEDGE ABOUT CHINA AT GERMAN SCHOOLS
The subject of China is rarely addressed at German schools and only few pupils learn Chinese or take part in student exchanges. The Bildungsnetzwerk China intends to support schools in developing and expanding knowledge relating to China with a view to strengthening relations with China and German-Chinese exchange.
