Stiftung Mercator supports children and young people in Ukraine

The Vielrespektzentrum and the KD11/13 – Center for Cooperation and Inclusion in Essen receive a total of over €100,000 from Stiftung Mercator. The two non-profit organizations help Ukrainian refugees to find a new home in Germany, at least temporarily. The foundation’s funds will benefit children and young people in particular:

“With the support of Stiftung Mercator, the successful weekly meeting offer, especially for Ukrainian people, will be expanded. We are creating a safe place for children and young people to spend their free time and feel they belong,” explains Ali Can, Managing Director of the Vielrespektzentrum.

“We would also like to thank Stiftung Mercator on behalf of the children, young people and their accompanying persons for their generous donation, which will enable us to continue our  measures for refugees. We hope to make it easier for the people from Ukraine to settle in,” says Tuncer Kalayci, Managing Director of KD11/13.
