Mirja Ramke

Short biography

Mirja Ramke is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School, with expertise in ocular viral pathogenesis, adenovirus epidemiology, and viral infection systems. Mirja authored her research in peer-reviewed journals and presented as a speaker at leading conferences, for instance at the International Adenovirus Meeting, 2014, and Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO), 2015. Prior, she worked as a research assistant in framework of her doctoral thesis in the Department of Virology, Medical School of Hannover, Germany. Besides to her research, she deepened her interest in Health Security and Health Diplomacy and, concerning this, initiated seminars and panel discussions. Mirja holds a medical degree from the Medical School of Hannover, Germany, where she studied during her intern year at the University of Cambridge, UK and the Tongji Medical School, China.
