As a Mercator Fellow, Maja Leo focuses on analyzing and developing theatre-based formats for dialogue in processes of conflict transformation. She gained professional experience as a project manager for Artas Foundation, the Swiss foundation for art in regions of conflict, where she conceptualized and managed art-based dialogue projects with internally displaced persons (IDP) – and host communities in the Southern Caucasus region. She is co-founder of the internationally renowned performance collective Neue Dringlichkeit. Maja Leo completed her studies in Theatre Directing in Zurich and in Buenos Aires as well as in Fine Arts in Zurich and in Hamburg.
