Solving Statelessness: Exploring Local and International Responses to Statelessness

Short biography

Rabea Niggemeyer studied Anthropology, Political Science and Latin American Studies at Freie Universität Berlin. Subsequently, she obtained a master’s degree in Human Rights Law at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London. Amongst others, Rabea gained professional experience as a Youth Ambassador for the European Network on Statelessness (ENS), at the Heinrich-Böll Foundation in Mexico City and at arbeiterkind.de in Berlin. As a Mercator Fellow, she will explore local and international strategies of preventing and dealing with situations of statelessness caused by an arbitrary deprivation of nationality.
