Project description

Charlotte Brandsma is part of a network of young Turkish and European leaders from all sectors who come together once a year to engage in intensive dialogue and to share views and ideas about topical social issues. The Turkey Europe Future Forum takes place alternately in Turkey and Germany, as well as in other European countries.

Short biography

Charlotte Brandsma is a policy analyst and project manager within the Mediterranean Policy Program at the German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF) in Brussels. She coordinates GMF’s research agenda and activities on the Middle East, North Africa and Southern Europe, participates in conferences and seminars, organizes meetings in Europe, the United States and the region and has written and edited policy-oriented reports, papers and blogs. Charlotte is also co-founder of the social start-up "The Brussels Binder", an online database of female policy experts to raise awareness of the under-representation of women in European policy debates and promote female leadership. She holds a BA and MA in International Relations from the University of Groningen.
