Julia Olesen is part of a network of young Turkish and European leaders from all sectors who come together once a year to engage in intensive dialogue and to share views and ideas about topical social issues. The Turkey Europe Future Forum takes place alternately in Turkey and Germany, as well as in other European countries.
Julia Olesen works for the Association of European Social Work, Education and Training (VESBE e.V.). In her position as Head of the International Department, she is responsible for different European and international projects in India, Kenya and others. She is the project lead for a subproject within the German-Turkish Partnership for Vocational Skill Development (TAMEB), dedicated to providing vocational qualification to Syrian refugees in Turkey. Prior to that, Julia worked in business consulting in Germany and China. She holds a Bachelor in International Business from Cologne Business School and also spent a semester abroad in the Philippines. She received her Master in Internationalization, a combined program in international relations and economics, from the Universitat de Barcelona.
