Project description

Mehmet Emre Gür is part of a network of young Turkish and European leaders from all sectors who come together once a year to engage in intensive dialogue and to share views and ideas about topical social issues. The Turkey Europe Future Forum takes place alternately in Turkey and Germany, as well as in other European countries.

Short biography

Mehmet Emre Gür works as managing partner of Barem Consultancy, Country Representative for the Centre International de Formation Européenne (CIFE) and Director of Alumni Relations at the European Institute of CIFE and as Secretary General of the Turkey Europe Foundation. His main interests are: civil society, democracy and politics in the EU and Turkey, social development projects, youth and women policies as well as food and agriculture policies. He worked for various institutions including civil society organisations, universities and international organisations mainly in the fields related to social policies and as a consultant and trainer for project management. Emre co-authored a book on Best Practices of Youth Participation and wrote articles on contemporary Turkey. He graduated from Marmara University and continued his higher studies at CIFE/ European Institute-Institut Européenne in Nice, with a specialization on Evolution of EU’s Aid Policy and contributions to Millennium Development Goals.
