Jennifer Pernau is part of a network of young Turkish and European leaders from all sectors who come together once a year to engage in intensive dialogue and to share views and ideas about topical social issues. The Turkey Europe Future Forum takes place alternately in Turkey and Germany, as well as in other European countries.

Short biography

Jennifer Pernau currently works as Government Affairs Manager at Microsoft. Previously, she worked for 3.5 years as Director at Agora Strategy Group and as Assistant to the Management Board at Dr. Arend Oetker Holding in Berlin. Due to Dr. Oetker’s commitment as president of the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP) and his mandate as head of the working group USA in the Federation of German Industries (BDI), Jennifer is working on current trends and future challenges in transnational partnerships like the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP), the Ukraine-conflict or the Greek debt crisis. In previous positions she worked as project manager at Thalia Holding GmbH in the department of Marketing and Corporate Communications. At the German Commission for UNESCO she deepened her interest in the current cultural scene, education and media politics. As head of the division for Cultural Programs at Goethe-Institut in Rome, she planned programmes with ministries, embassies, universities, and local cultural and educational institutions. After her studies in German Literature, Art History and Psychology in Munich, New Zealand and Italy, she did a doctorate in Culture Sciences about so called “Cultural conflicts” between Europe and Islam and their impact on the understanding of democracy and human rights.
