Gizem Karslı is part of a network of young Turkish and European leaders from all sectors who come together once a year to engage in intensive dialogue and to share views and ideas about topical social issues. The Turkey Europe Future Forum takes place alternately in Turkey and Germany, as well as in other European countries.
Gizem Karslı is the Partnerships and External Relations Coordinator for Save the Children International Turkey Country Office. She manages and coordinates Save the Children’s external relations and represents the organization to implementing partners, funding partners, private-sector partners and project-relevant line ministries. Before joining Save the Children, Ms Karslı worked in Turkey’s Parliament as the chief policy advisor in the office of the Secretary- General of the main opposition. In 2016, she was elected to the board of the European Students’ Forum and was mandated to serve as its vice president in Brussels. She is also a board member of Amnesty International Turkey and responsible for the connection with the international movement. Gizem is continuing her graduate studies in social policy at the Middle East Technical University. She holds a bachelors degree in linguistics from Hacettepe University in Ankara, graduated from Ankara University's Human Rights School and is a part of the Boğaziçi European School of Politics.
