Project description

Halit Ünver is part of a network of young Turkish and European leaders from all sectors who come together once a year to engage in intensive dialogue and to share views and ideas about topical social issues. The Turkey Europe Future Forum takes place alternately in Turkey and Germany, as well as in other European countries.

Short biography

Dr. Halit Ünver is Director of International Relations at the Senate of Economy. He is Board Member at the European Technology Chamber (EUTEC). He is a docent at the Applied University of Organization and Management (FOM). He is a computer scientist, economist and has received a PhD at the University of Ulm. He was an IT policy advisor and economist at the Research Institute for Applied Knowledge Processing (FAW/n) and was a visiting fellow at the Leadership Excellence Institute of Zeppelin University. He completed an executive education at the Imperial College London Business School, was a member of the young leaders group 2012/2013 of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) and was honoured with his colleagues at the Annual Innovation Forum 2013 in Brussels for their work on digital transformation and higher education. Dr. Ünver has been supported by Vice President of Google (Vinton G. Cerf), Alcatel Foundation for Communications Research, Vodafone Institute for Society and Communication, and Stiftung Mercator. He is part of the T20 process within the G20 Presidency and is involved in the UN Internet Governance Forum. He was a trainee at Daimler AG in the fields of trucks, global IT management and research and development. He is interested in a worldwide sustainable development and transcultural issues.
