Halit Ünver is part of a network of young Turkish and European leaders from all sectors who come together once a year to engage in intensive dialogue and to share views and ideas about topical social issues. The Turkey Europe Future Forum takes place alternately in Turkey and Germany, as well as in other European countries.
Halit Ünver is a scientist and policy adviser at the Research Institute for Applied Knowledge Processing (FAW/n) at the University of Ulm. He investigates issues such as global sustainable development, world population development, digital inequality and education as well as intercultural diplomacy. In addition, Halit is currently conducting research at the Leadership Excellence Institute (LEIZ) at Zeppelin University, exploring the topic of "Leadership in the Digital Age". Previously he was a Daimler Corporation trainee in the fields of truck production, global IT management and R&D. After studying economics and information technology, Halit earned a PhD with a thesis on ‘Global Networking, Communication and Culture – Conflict or Convergence’. He completed an executive programme at the Imperial College London Business School and is a member of the Young Leaders Group 2012/2013 of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), an independent body of the EU. His interests include EU-Turkey relations in the context of a possible future world culture and the peaceful coexistence of Western and Islamic cultures.
