During his MERICS Fellowship Zheng Chang conducts research on Social Media Data Mining, Subculture in the framework of internet development and Industry 4.0.
Zheng Chang graduated from Peking University and received his master’s degree in information science in 2005. Zheng Chang is a co-founder of Thinker Workshop, a civil society think tank in China which focuses on information and internet development and its impact on China’s political, economic and social changes. Currently, Zheng Chang is interested in social media data mining, the subculture that exists within the framework of the internet’s development, and Industry 4.0. Zheng Chang is also in the process of writing a book about the progress of information civilization in China.
