Julia Clajus is part of a network of young German and Chinese leaders from all sectors who come together to engage in intensive dialogue and to undergo further professional and intercultural training. The Zukunftsbrücke – Chinese-German Young Professional Campus takes place in alternate years in China and Germany.
Julia Clajus has been working as a Parliamentary Advisor (2012-2017) to Edelgard Bulmahn, Vice President of the German Bundestag. Her main responsibilities include the Committee of Foreign Affairs and the Subcommittee for Civilian Crisis Prevention and Conflict Management. Until 2013, she was also in charge of the Bundestag’s Enquete Commission on Growth, Wellbeing and Quality of Life, regarding various aspects of sustainable economic, fiscal and financial politics. Before assuming her current role, Julia worked for the research service of the German Bundestag, the Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in Bosnia-Herzegovina, the Federal Ministry of Development and Economic Cooperation and the German Embassy in the Czech Republic. Julia holds a Master of Public Policy from the Hertie School of Governance, having previously completed her Bachelor degree in European Studies at the Maastricht University.
