The central aim of Kreiser’s study is to describe and analyse Turkey’s foreign cultural policy processes up to the present day with critical sympathy. During his fellowsip he organized three talks.
Klaus Kreiser is an emeritus professor at Bamberg University in the Department of Turkish Language, History and Culture. Previously, he held the chair in Turkish language, history and civilization at Bamberg University until 2002. He received his doctoral degree at the University of Munich in 1972, after which he taught there from 1975 to 1977, as well as from 1981 to 1984. From 1977 to 1980, he was a research fellow affiliated with the German Archaeological Institute in Istanbul.
