Inga Beie is part of a network of young German and Chinese leaders from all sectors who come together to engage in intensive dialogue and to undergo further professional and intercultural training. The Zukunftsbrücke – Chinese-German Young Professional Campus takes place in alternate years in China and Germany
Inga Beie is a Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) advisor to the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) working in the field of urban governance. In her capacity, she promotes urban development in intergovernmental processes such as the Post-2015 Agenda and advises on the Habitat III conference, the third United Nations Conference on Housing and Sustainable Urban Development. Additionally, she supported the German Chairmanship of the Cities Development Initiative for Asia (CDIA). Prior to her assignment Inga worked for GIZ in Kosovo on local governance and citizen-friendly service delivery and in Cambodia for the EU decentralization programme SPACE (Strengthening Performance, Accountability and Civic Engagement). Before joining GIZ, she worked for Transparency International India (TII) and the Heinrich Böll Foundation (HBF) in Washington, DC. Inga holds an M.A. in International Relations and International Economics from the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), Johns Hopkins University and a B.A in European Studies from the University of Passau.
