Loredana Sorg studied Agricultural Science at ETH Zurich. During her studies she gained pro-fessional experience at the Soil Science Center of the Isfahan University of Technology in Iran, at the Swiss extension service for rural development in Lausanne and as a freelancer for newspapers. After receiving her final degree and a didactic certificate she worked as scientific assistant at the Institute for Environmental Decisions at ETH Zurich and as project collaborator in agricultural and regional consulting. As a Mercator Fellow she focuses on the further development of organic farming in regions with resource conflicts through integrating the young generation.
