Man-made climate change is a reality. The way we live is resulting in global warming, which in turn is causing the fundamental conditions for human life on earth to deteriorate. All of this entails human suffering and high social and economic costs. One major cause of this is the emission of greenhouse gases.
In our Centre for Climate Change, we therefore develop and support projects that will help to reduce greenhouse gas emissions quickly and significantly and thereby curb climate change. Together with our partners, we work on solutions which address climate change mitigation in the context of other social requirements (e.g. sustainability, competitiveness, security) and which aim to bring about systemic and structural innovations.
