Yilmaz Uygun is part of a network of young Turkish and European leaders from all sectors who come together once a year to engage in intensive dialogue and to share views and ideas about topical social issues. The Turkey Europe Future Forum takes place alternately in Turkey and Germany, as well as in other European countries.

Short biography

Yilmaz Uygun is Professor of Logistics Engineering at Jacobs University Bremen and Research Affiliate at MIT. His current research focuses on supporting small and medium-sized enterprises in adopting Industry 4.0 related technologies. Before that he worked as Research Associate and later Executive Director at TU Dortmund and Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics. He also completed his PhD there before joining the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as Research Fellow. Yilmaz studied Industrial Engineering at FH Südwestfalen (BA) and Logistics Engineering as well as Logistics Management at University of Duisburg-Essen (MA).
